Talking about the things
nobody wants to.
Elam Ink is a kind, calming space for suicide prevention, rare disease awareness, and the conversations that prepare us to truly show up for one another — through books, journals, podcast, and community.
A kind place to find help, solace, and the right words.
Suicide is a taboo subject. Rare diseases are quietly carried. Elam Ink exists to gently bring both into the light — with education, art, and tools that help us show up for the people we love.

Prevention through preparation

Honoring the unseen

Soft tools for hard conversations.
Every offering is designed to do one thing: make it a little easier to talk about, prepare for, and walk beside the people we love through the hardest moments.

Vickie Lynn Elam
Author · Advocate · Founder
Elam Ink began with a very personal story. After living with the quiet weight of suicide and the daily reality of a rare, symptomatic disease, Vickie set out to build the place she wished had existed — soft, honest, prepared to talk about the things nobody wants to talk about.
Through upcoming books, companion journals, classes, a blog, and a podcast, Elam Ink offers practical help — not just awareness — for the friends, families, and caregivers who want to be ready when someone they love is struggling.

Elam Ink is becoming a nonprofit focused on suicide prevention, with a portion of proceeds supporting prevention efforts and rare disease causes like NORD (National Organization for Rare Disorders).
Vickie is currently writing a personal memoir along with a series of companion Forget-Me-Not journals built to match the upcoming books and the topics covered in our classes and podcast.
Our classes prepare friends, family, and caregivers for hard conversations — what to say to someone who may be struggling, what to do, and just as importantly, what not to do.
Apparel, journals, mugs, and gift items are printed on demand through Printify so we can keep production gentle on the planet and route proceeds back to the mission.
A once-in-a-lifetime, custom-crafted tribute that turns the memories of an everyday hero in your life into a finished piece of legacy art and narrative.
Elam Ink is an awareness, education, and community space — not a crisis service. If you or someone you love is in crisis in the US, please call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.
